CarbX Egg Homepage

Modern living has brought downside consequences to human health. Worldwide and local statistics on prevalence of hypertension, diabetes and obesity are at alarming proportions.

Remedies for these disorders that combine efficacy, affordability, safety and ready availability are hard to come by. Liver or kidney side effects oftentimes attend the use of certain synthetic drugs for diabetes or obesity.

The CarbX egg: a novel approach to help control body weight and blood sugar level

CarbX egg is a natural product from the poultry industry. It is available in its natural condition – raw and unprocessed egg with shell intact. Uniquely, CarbX egg exhibits inhibitory activity against the amylase enzyme as observed in lab assays (See lab data here).

This amylase inhibitory activity indicates a moderating effect by CarbX egg on glucose absorption similar to the effect of certain natural foodstuffs such as ampalaya (bitter gourd), banaba leaf extract or cinnamon (see related information). In effect, CarbX egg mimics the actions of these natural foodstuffs that are part of our daily diet.

Recent clinical studies showed that habitual reduction in absorption of glucose from dietary carbohydrates is deemed critical to effective control of body weight and blood sugar level (see related information).

In light of recent interventional and epidemiologic studies, the restriction of eggs for healthy people, as well as the perceived harmful effect of eggs on people with pre-existing diabetes, obesity or heart disease are now being questioned. Compelling pieces of evidence are currently challenging old-school assumptions and point toward a counter-paradigm that associates regular egg consumption with health and well-being (see related information).

Given the safety, inherent nutraceutical value, low cost relative to those of synthetic drugs, ease of mass production and universal palatability of the poultry egg, CarbX comes across as a potential tool for prevention of metabolic disorders and holds promise as a general consumer health and food supplement.

How to prepare CarbX egg

We recommend serving CarbX Egg as SUNNY-SIDE UP, SOFT-BOILED OR POACHED. Using any of these methods, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO MAINTAIN THE YOLK IN RUNNY OR FLUID CONSISTENCY.

1. To prepare soft-boiled egg: Dispense water in a pot with volume just enough to completely immerse the egg/s. Bring the water to a boil and slowly immerse the egg/s into the boiling water. After 1 to 2 minutes, immediately scoop the eggs and immerse them in tap water to cool down. Alternatively, the egg may be immersed in water first and then brought to a boil. Allow 1 minute from the time of full boil then put off the fire. Immediately cool down the eggs with tap water.

A variation of soft-boiled egg is somewhat similar to the Japanese hyotei egg which is less easy to prepare. Here, the egg white may be gelled or hardened into solid form but the yolk remains mainly fluid and retains its original consistency.

2. To prepare poached egg: Follow the procedure for sunny-side up egg but instead of cooking oil, use water at a volume enough to immerse the whole egg. Before poaching, add one tbsp. of vinegar to the water to minimize separation of egg white into smaller pieces. Do not put salt to avoid breaking the egg white. Allow the egg to cook for 5 minutes in the boiling water.
